This should be a happy month for you, for it includes travel, romance, friends, time with beloved family members and children, shopping, movies, and festive parties. December will also involve a lot of financial discussions and planning. In a way, it will be a very balanced month, with some practical considerations involving money and lots of festive events to look forward to at month’s end.

At the first week, you should be busy sorting out your budget for holiday spending. Mercury is about to retrograde, December 19 to January 8, so you must decide quickly about how many gifts you would like to buy. If anyone on your list will get an electronic item from you, you must choose it quickly in December’s first week, for you will feel the delays and mix-ups of the approaching Mercury retrograde phase as soon as December 5 or 6.

It’s never wise to buy machines with moving parts, such as appliances, electronics, or expensive items for yourself, like a car. Buy those now or wait until late January. Mercury won’t come to full strength until January 27 even though it will turn direct January 8, so you may want to wait a while to buy your car. By all means, you can’t shop December 19 to January 8 or even close to those dates. If you must shop, consider getting a gift card to a shop you know your recipient would love to visit.

The first week will center you on money you earn (not money won) because the new moon of November 29 appeared in Sagittarius, 8 degrees, and started the financial trend that you will be feeling now. That new moon was very friendly, as it came in perfect attitude to Jupiter, the good fortune planet, almost ensuring your income is about to go up. Of course, as they say, if you don’t ask, you don’t get. You should ask for a raise in early December if you haven’t already done so. If you already asked for an increase, it appears to be coming through to you now, as this will be the most important new moon of the year for seeing an increase.

Mars will also be in the right place in the sky – Aquarius – at the time of the new moon of November 29 to help you, and will exert a powerful vibration during the first week of December. You may find the perfect items to buy for your home to make it more stylish and comfortable. Neptune will be delivering his gifts of creativity and beauty at this point too, which you can direct in any way you please – you are likely to feel Neptune’s presence in terms of heightened romance as well at month’s end.

Watch December 6, when your financial outlook will be brilliant, thanks to the interplay between Mars and Uranus. When news comes, it will come out of the blue, take you by surprise, and make you very happy. Mars is one of your rulers, so it’s important.

Next, three days later, watch December 9, one of the best days of the month, when the Sun and Jupiter will act like best friends and link your house of money to your twelfth house of confidential matters. I feel a VIP who is behind the scenes will look out for you and will speak up for you. You may find out the identity of the person, but if you do, you will be asked to keep that person’s name confidential. This is great day, especially in that the Sun is the natural ruler of your tenth house of fame and is being contacted by lucky Jupiter. It’s a day that has everything – more money for you, and success in career. All the news comes in as a surprise that you didn’t see coming.

Clearly, finances will be on your mind quite a bit, and you will settle things by the full moon December 13 in Gemini 22 degrees. You will be ready to send out bills and invoices to those who owe you, do a savvy tax planning, and take time to reassess your insurance needs too. Every once in a while it’s a good idea to see if your changing lifestyle has changed your needs for more or less insurance. Health care and car insurance also come under the area of your chart being spotlighted, so you might want to investigate whether you are carrying the right policies.

Responsibilities will feel heavy on your shoulders, but this weighty feeling will lift after the full moon is over.

The full moon on December 13 will bring a mixed outlook. On one hand, you have a dazzling aspect from Jupiter, suggesting good financial news, perhaps due to a bonus, gift, royalty, licensing fee, or other source that is coming to you. Uranus is also friendly from your work sector, so money does seem very likely to emanate from your efforts for a client or on a project. The problem with the full moon is that Saturn will oppose that moon, forcing you to be very realistic, and perhaps cut back a bit on spending to accommodate what you learn.

This full moon comes on the heels of a conjunction of Saturn and the Sun three days earlier, December 10. That day, which comes once a year, is always a very somber day, when you may feel that nothing is working right, that money is tight, and that you are working much too hard for your pay. Responsibilities will feel heavy on your shoulders, but this weighty feeling will lift after the full moon is over.

On December 10, Saturn will conjunct the Sun, and Saturn’s nature is icy cold, so he does not blend well with the Sun’s fiery warmth. When these two planets, meet it’s not a lighthearted day. Saturn inches across the sky very slowly, so the conjunction of December 10 will be felt for several days, on December 13, too. Saturn can drain you, so be sure to get enough sleep from December 10 to 13. You will likely become overly sensitive to criticism, so keep that point in mind. Saturn is a depressive influence, but as you move away from the full moon, you will have a brighter outlook.

Mars will move into Pisces on December 19 through January 27, and will light your house of romance in a magnificent way. What a way to start the year! All the financial dealings will be finished by this, the third week of December, so you can devote yourself fully to enjoying the festive quality of the season.

Your most loving days will occur on December 24, December 25, and December 26. Let’s start with December 25, Christmas Day, which is also Hanukkah this year.

Let’s start with December 25, when Venus will have a celebration of her own, meeting with Jupiter, Uranus, and Saturn separately, in a display of marvelous warmth and affection to planets she’s not seen or blended with in a long time. Venus in Aquarius will receive trine aspect from Jupiter, considered a beam of great harmony. Indeed, it is one of the very best aspects possible.

Venus will be in your home and family sector, which suggests you will invite guests to your home or help another relative give a glorious holiday celebration. Venus’ meeting with Uranus will sprinkle in serendipity to the mix, and Saturn will give the day a foundation of love and fortitude. Venus is the natural ruler of your seventh house of marriage and commitment, so if you are attached, you will get a double dip of pleasure.

On the following day, Kwanzaa, December 26, the Sun and Mars will be in sync, so you may come up with a very workable creative idea that you can use to further your career. You will feel peppy too.

Something else is happening this month involving a rare and special collaboration between Uranus and Saturn. Uranus is an impulsive planet of creativity, impulsiveness, chaos, rebellion, and disruption. On December 30, the Sun and Neptune will be in sync, a breathtakingly creative aspect. Even if you are home, thinking, you can come up with new ideas for your work projects, so write them down.

This same vibration, Neptune in glamorous cooperation with the Sun, still strong on New Year’s Eve, will make year’s end extremely romantic.
