This month will be highly productive, and you will be on your A-game, moving through your daily rounds with the speed of light. Mars just moved into Capricorn on September 27, to stay until the rest of October. This means you will see that there’s much to be done at the office and at home. You’ll need to keep lists, and possibly add people in your office to help you shoulder the extra work. The holidays are coming, but October will allow you to get things done before party invitations start to arrive in your email in November and December. Mars in Capricorn will allow you to show off your organizational skills and choose the best methods for all you need to do. It appears you will be appropriating funds in forming a budget as well, because Capricorn is a financial sign, also known for being practical and realistic when making decisions.

In addition to long-distance travel, you also seem to have a superb chance to travel short distances, and because nature is especially beautiful in this part of the year, consider driving into the countryside to admire the beautiful colors of the leaves. In north hemispheres, Mother Mature has painted all the leaves vibrant colors of red, gold, and orange, and in the southern hemispheres, spring is in bloom, with pastel pinks, pale yellows, lilacs, and the light green of new grass and leaves. It’s no wonder that Venus rules the signs born at this time of the year, Libra and those born in May, Taurus. Venus beautifies all that she touches.

If your birthday falls on July 30, plus or minus five days, you will benefit the most form this darling new moon. The same would be true if you have Leo rising, the moon in Leo, or a natal planet in Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius, at 8 degrees, plus or minus five degrees.

Shopping is favored in early October too. If you need a computer, smart phone, smart flat TV, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner – even a car – as some examples, this would be the month. If you plan to buy an electronic item as a gift for a loved one, do so in October or November, but avoid buying it in December, for Mercury will again be retrograde then. Although Mercury doesn’t go retrograde untilDecember 19, you will feel the haywire effect of Mercury as soon asDecember 4, for we always feel the oncoming retrograde well in advance.

The day that Mercury conjoins Jupiter, October 10-11, will be an especially beautiful day for many purposes – it deserves four gold stars. This is a fantastic day to travel, to sign a contract, to have a meeting, judge a contest, speak on a panel, or send out a self-promotion campaign. Jupiter will bring growth and profits, and on top of that bonus, because Mercury rules your second house of earned income, this would be a perfect day to ask for a raise or to negotiate a fee. You can also make a presentation on this day, unveil a new blog or website, or send in your manuscript to an editor. Mercury conjunct Jupiter is a rare aspect that won’t come again for twelve months.

The tenor of the month will change dramatically at the cranky full moon of October 16 in Aries 23 degrees. Travel will be difficult, and you may feel tension, have disagreements, or feel frustrations with people you interact with at your destination. This part of the month suggests you would be going a far distance, but you may be beset with delays, or you may have problems with your accommodations. Be very careful about discussions you have with people based at your destination, for people will be on edge and quick to react, possibly in anger. The ninth house also rules certain relatives, such as in-laws, aunts, and uncles, and one of these people might take offense at something you will say, so choose your words with care. Avoid bringing up controversial subjects over the full moon because you might cause a meltdown with the other person, and not even know what it was you said that caused such a strong reaction.

This full moon will conjunct Uranus, so at mid-month, you will either encounter an unpredictable, erratic person or just the opposite, an incredibly creative person. One way or another, this person will march to a different drummer and be someone who will be idiosyncratic. If you are laughing as you read this, I understand! Keep in mind that a touch of madness and amazing creativity often go hand in hand. Whatever happens on the long trip that you take won’t be anything you expect, because with Uranus you never know which way things will go. I should admit that you might find things to be exciting and positive. Most people won’t, but you might, as there is a 50-50 chance of either happening.

If your birthday falls on August 15, plus or minus five days, somehow you can find a way to make this wild and wooly full moon work in your favor. The same is true if you have Leo rising, your natal moon, or other natal planet at 23 degrees, plus or minus five degrees in Leo, Aries, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius.
