As a Pisces you are outstandingly artistic, imaginative, and visionary. You are eager to create something new that is a perfect reflective of the “you” inside. No matter what field you work in, you are always thinking about the methods you are using to make sure they are best, most innovative ways to complete the project. There are many ways to be creative in this world, so even if you work in a field not associated with imagination or vision, you find a way to put your special touch there too.

You always put the emphasis on the product or service, rather than on the amount you will be paid. You know that someday no one will know how long you had to complete the job, or how much you were paid to do it – the excellence of the result will have to stand on its own. You have always felt if your work were above reproach, you would be well compensated in the end. The work ethic you hold dear is why you so often are successful. Forbes magazine keeps reporting Pisces and Virgo (the sign on the same axis as yours, 180 degrees away from Pisces) produce the wealthiest leaders.

Lately, however, you’ve been in a cash crunch, which has puzzled you. You may have asked yourself, considering how hard and smart I have worked, with such dedication, why am I so cash poor? Your temporary lack of cash flow is about to change in a big way in October.

In your career, it looks as though you have been doing everything right, and with stern Saturn, and his “tough love” method of teaching, you have kept your eyes on the road, and your forehead on the steering wheel. In the two years you have worked under the tutelage of Saturn in Sagittarius, you stepped up your game. None of the recent weeks made sense – you’ve been up worrying about paying bills that you could normally cover easily and quickly, the day those bills came in.

Part of the problem may have been that your expenses have been running higher than usual, or that you have been investing heavily in your career or business. You may have decided to go back to school, or give your business a major upgrade. If you are self-employed, you probably were working so hard that you may not have had time to bill clients, which only caused greater cash flow problems. It was a circular chicken and the egg problem, but now the universe will show you the money.

From August 2015 to early September 2016, you had superb aspects for partnering, so you may have teamed up with a business partner, or an agent, publicist, representative, or collaborator who worked with you on a one-on-one basis. This person was, and will continue to be, worth his or her weight in gold. Both of you are committed to the same goal, and you will see results now through October 2017.

The first ten days of October are about to make you feel in the money again. You may have already started to see money flow to you with the recent luckiest day of the year, September 26. If not, it means the deals you made on that day or the days surrounding it will be extremely profitable. The new moon of September 30 is even more powerful, able to bring you a cornucopia of lucrative opportunities in the eleven days that follow.

The money you will see will be delivered in a large sum rather than parsed out in equal amounts as salary. In fact you may have more than one source giving you generous one-time sums. Areas of gain would be commissions, licensing fees earned, royalties, advances, inheritance, divorce and other court settlements, payment for a one-time assignment or job, insurance payouts, venture capital infusion, prize winnings, valuable gifts, often of cash, a large tax refund, and so forth. You will likely receive money from one of these areas, and it should thrill you. If you are selling something valuable so that you can raise cash, your timing will be perfect – the price you will agree on with the buyer is likely to please you.

It is also possible you will seek a loan, say, from a bank, a bank line of credit, a scholarship, university financial aid, or a jumbo mortgage, as some examples. Again, things will go well, because in the start of October, when it comes to money, you will be as lucky as a Leprechaun.

Put a big gold star on October 11, when Mercury and Jupiter will conjoin in Libra and bring you even more money, or the promise of profit from a deal you sign. This would be a perfect day to sign a contract, or to travel, or to sell something valuable, such as a family heirloom or property. Although these two planets meet once a year, this will be the first time since 2005 that Mercury and Jupiter will meet in Libra. Again, more good news about your finances is due to come your way. Mercury is the natural ruler of your partnering house, so your agent or business manager, or even your romantic partner or spouse, may have great financial news for you.

If involved in a real estate purchase or sale, you will also do well on October 11, as Mercury also rules your fourth house of home. Alternatively, a family member, such as your father or mother, may offer you a check to help you put a down payment on your house or apartment, or may simply want to help you with cash to get you over the hump until money owed to you comes in.

At mid-month, the full moon October 16 in Aries, 23 degrees, will be a wildcard, but because it is so volatile, it might bring a setback about money. This time the spotlight will be on your second house of salary, savings, and personal possessions. This full moon comes conjunct Uranus, the planet of all things unanticipated, so the topic that comes up will seem to come out of the blue.

Having the planet of all surprises exactly conjunct this full moon would be enough to rattle anyone, but further, Pluto and Mars will be in hard 90-degree angle to that full moon in from your eleventh house of friends, hopes, and wishes. You may have to put off buying something you had your heart set on, but only temporarily.

Mars rules Aries, so this is clear: A friend or someone you do business with and nevertheless think of as a friend will be quite insistent that you pay for or invest in something that you don’t want to do, but you may have to do it anyway to keep the friendship. It does put you in a difficult bind, and you will have to have a discussion about your concerns.

As you read this, you might be saying to yourself, “Wait! Susan, are you saying that first, the new moon of September 30 brings money, and the full moon of October 16 could take some of it away with a large unexpected expense?” Yes, this is possible. I am sorry to have to report this, and I hope I am wrong. Alternatively, you may have been expecting a large payment of money to be sent, but learn the funds will be late or not coming at all. Or, you may learn you need to write a check for taxes. This is not an omen that money will again be troublesome – not at all. This news is likely to be merely a remnant of your past that you are cleaning up. This financial situation might have been related to something that you were discussing or doing near the full moon eclipse of March 23, or the new moon of April 7 of this year.

Also, sometimes an eclipse will deliver news exactly one month to the day later (plus or minus four days), so re-read what I wrote for you last month for you, dear Pisces. Take a look at your September forecast, about the full moon lunar eclipse in Pisces of September 16. (You are always able to recover last month’s forecast at the bottom of your report on pages 1, 2, or 3 here – look for the blue box.)

Mars has just recently moved out of your career sector, a place the Red Planet had been spending from March 5 to September 27. Seven months is a usually long time to host Mars, and it is akin to drinking 20 cups of coffee a day. Mars is called the great energizer for a reason! A more typical orbit of Mars is six weeks.

Mars spent much time in your professional sector because he was retrograding back and forth earlier this year. You may have found April, May, and June to be a time of backtracking and in changes in the work others were doing for you. Although Mars was done being retrograde by end of June, July might have been frustrating too, when you saw what had to be redone – again.

As an aside, there is a reason I called my newest book, “The Year Ahead Forecast for the Second Half of 2016 Into 2017” – I didn’t want to focus on that difficult Mars retrograde period in the first half of 2016! By starting in August and looking ahead, I could focus on the positive things to come!

Saturn has been teaching you how to find the strength within to tackle bigger career goals since December 2014. This is the same professional tenth house that Mars has been orbiting during those seven months – your tenth house of career honors, awards, and achievement. Clearly you were focused on your reputation and professional progress, to the exclusion of just about everything else in your life. Now the universe will make a correction in October, and life will become lighter, with plenty of opportunities to socialize with friends.

Month’s end will be delicious for you for two reasons. First, you have October 26, when Venus, by then in Sagittarius, in ideal angle to Jupiter in Libra, will link your house of fame and honors to your house of money. (This is your eighth house, so the money will come in as one large check.) Lovely! You will be popular with VIPs and peers alike from October 18 to November 12, for Venus in your career sector ensures that you will.

Next, you may be planning a long trip, possibly overseas, as a result of the new moon, October 30 in fellow water sign Scorpio, a sign that blends beautifully with yours. You may go abroad, or you may discuss a publishing or broadcast opportunity. The house so lit up will be your ninth house of foreign people and places, so you might not leave home but instead work on a project with a company based overseas.

If you have any immigration matters to smooth out, this new moon of October 29 (plus ten days) will allow you to get a green card or visa, or even start the process of citizenship.

Neptune will be very prominent, and that is your ruling planet, suggesting two things – the assignment will be perfect for you, and hold the possibility for you to contribute great creativity.

If your birthday falls on February 26, plus or minus five days, this new moon will mark a very exciting time for all these matters I just listed. The same is true if you have Pisces rising, your natal moon in Pisces, or a natal planet in Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn at 8 degrees, plus or minus five degrees.

This won’t be a big month for romance, not unless you travel to a beautiful paradise setting or new city overseas with your partner after the October 29 new moon. Now that sounds amazing! Earlier in the month, from the very start until October 17, Venus will be in Scorpio, making any trip divine.

Also having Venus in a water sign like yours – Scorpio – makes that phase, from October 1 to 17, a great time to buy new clothes and see about improving your appearance. Last month Mercury was retrograde until September 22, not a time to shop, but by October, Mercury is coming back to former strength and won’t hold up your shopping – go find things that are madly flattering on you, then step out to see what Cupid and his little fleet of angels have cooked up for you!

This new moon is in Scorpio with a direct signal from Neptune, indicating a wonderful time to go to a Halloween party or to give one. This year, the costumes will be better than any year! All conditions are right for artistic expressions to bloom in a big way, and that, dear Pisces, seeing expressions of creativity, is just your cup of tea.

For a long time, you’ve had to work with the blind faith that eventually the universe would give you a breakthrough and see that you get financially compensated in the way that reflects all the devotion you’ve given to your career. Your time will come in October. This exciting news comes as a result of a fabulous new moon, one of the best of 2016, to appear in your eighth house of other people’s money. This may mean you are about to receive money not as a salary increase but through other means.

You may receive a large cash advance or royalty, a licensing fee or commission, tax refund, hefty profits from a business investment, or money may come in the form of a loan. Mid-month, as odd as this may sound, you may have a financial setback at the full moon, October 16, when money news could be temporarily distressing. Don’t let this concern you, for your overall prospects for generating hefty chunks of income are so very strong not only for October but also for an entire year to come, all the way to October 2017.

This month won’t be all about money. Mars will be in Capricorn all month, until November 8, and will pep your social life substantially in a way you’ve not seen all year. You will have time to see friends; arrange dinners, drinks, and get-togethers; and add in museum visits, a Broadway play, or other fun activities. You might also want to give a party or go to one. You may have to stand up to one friend (especially near October 19) who will want you to do something that you don’t want to do. Speak up, or later you may wonder why you didn’t say something. A real friend will still be your friend later.

As you get closer to month’s end, the new moon October 30 will bring a strong and very positive influence from foreign people and foreign places. You may be traveling, or you may be doing assignments for those based far from you without ever leaving your desk. Publishing and broadcasting projects could capture your imagination this month. Alternatively, you may be interviewing colleges or graduate schools, and if so, it would be the perfect time to begin the process.
