September will be a major month in 2016, for two eclipses will come by to bring change and opportunity, September 1 and 16. Also, this month you will see two big planets change signs, namely, Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, to Libra for the first time in twelve years, and Mars, the planet of energy and courage, to Capricorn for the first time in two years. This month holds the luckiest days of the year, September 25-26, and one of the sweetest, most helpful new moons of the year, September 30. If that weren’t enough, Mercury will be retrograde for three weeks. There is a lot to cover – this certainly won’t be a dull month, and you will leave it happier than you’ve been in years.

Two eclipses are to come in September, the first one being a new moon solar eclipse September 1, in Virgo 9 degrees, that will set a new chapter in adventurous intellectual matters for you. This eclipse may touch on one of the following areas: your pursuit to earn an advanced degree at a university, either as undergraduate or graduate student, or emphasis on your desire to work in publishing or broadcasting, where you are likely to get your breakthrough assignment. It is also likely you will do long-distance travel.

Following along on the international theme, a different way things might work out for you is that you may you may be involved with the import or the export of goods, services, or information with people based abroad, and you may be working together for business or humanitarian reasons. Alternatively, you may be focused on matters of immigration, with the goal of getting citizenship, visa, or a green card soon – this eclipse may help you make it happen. If you are dealing with a court case, you will find you are favored by the justice system. All these areas glow for you. This new moon will conjunct Mercury, the ruler of Virgo, the sign this eclipse will be traveling in, and that shows the final resolve of this eclipse will be extremely positive for you.

Most people will experience this eclipse through exciting foreign travel, for that is one of the most enjoyable ways to expand your intellectual horizons. If you do travel this month, the journey you take would likely bring a landmark trip that you will always remember. Eclipses bring weighty, important results. The other popular way to experience this type of eclipse is to go to college, possibly for the first time, as a freshman. A new moon solar eclipse is very powerful and will open a new path, possibly suddenly. This eclipse is in Virgo, an earth sign like yours that blends beautifully with your Capricorn sign.

If your birthday falls on December 29, plus or minus five days, you will feel the effects of this eclipse the most, more than other members of your sign. The same is true if you have Capricorn rising 9 degrees, or a natal planet or moon in Capricorn, Virgo, Taurus, Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio at 9 degrees, in all cases, plus or minus five days.

You will sense some pushback from Mars and Saturn at the time of the eclipse, so you may find that you will meet an obstacle that you didn’t expect. It may be that a home, property, or family situation arises that you will need to address, or that you are being presented with paperwork that seems to be lacking in information. Something seems off. You may not be sure if the information has been deliberately withheld or omitted innocently, by accident. Use your intuition and keep asking questions if the data in the paperwork does not add up in a way you expected it to be. Neptune will oppose the Sun and new moon, which is another clue that facts may be fogged, obfuscated, deleted, or made misleading. Do not sign any papers while Mercury is retrograde – put off the signing until September 25 or 26.

The person you are dealing with needs to be completely transparent. Eclipses bring a floodlight of truth, and at times we are stunned by the information we receive at that time. If that should happen for you, it will be there to protect you.

Alternatively, the emphasis on home could work out a different way. One of your parents, or a person who you think of as a parent, will need your help – keep your schedule flexible.

Mars has been traveling close to your ruler Saturn lately, which is a pairing of opposites. Mars brings an influence to press forward assertively and Saturn’s influence is the opposite, to hold back, assess things, and be cautious. Mars and Saturn will be close as you enter September – a meeting of fire and ice – but will separate and be far enough apart mathematically mid-month, and that will ease this situation.

While the proximity of Mars and Saturn is in effect in early September, protect your bones and teeth. Watch where you walk, and be sensible. The first two weeks of September would not be ideal for engaging in extreme sports.

You will be smart to hold back and not rush any decisions or actions in September. Saturn and Mars will keep things moving at a snail’s pace, but there is another signal from the universe that this is not the time to act:

Mercury is currently retrograde in Virgo from August 30, and it will remain so until September 22. This is the same sign that the eclipse will fall, Virgo, so you may find that paperwork gets lost or that bureaucratic red tape keeps you from progressing as quickly as you’d like. Be patient. On another note, keep track of your possessions, like your passport and other ID, your glasses, sunglasses, wallet, computer or tablet, and other things you can’t live without while you are traveling. Don’t rely overly on GPS – double check everything.

The full moon lunar eclipse on September 16 will bring more news, and more reason to travel. This time, however, something is about to end, not begin, as it would be at the top of the month. It will be a very busy time, with many calls to return, emails to read, and documents to read for accuracy. You will have many meetings, and if you are in a negotiation, you will be near a finish. The problem is, Mercury is retrograde, and you will need to stall for time. Give yourself time to mull things over, for doing so will help you think of things you won’t have thought of before if you rush. No matter how much pressure you are under, don’t sign yet, for if you do, you will only need to renegotiate the deal later. Make the date to sign September 25-26.

Many Capricorns have been moving house or moving their businesses to new headquarters, and with Saturn orbiting close to Mars in early month, you won’t have time to deal with questions about your living or working situation if you are self-employed. However, over the weekend of December 17-18, when Mars sends a golden beam to Uranus, you will get a nice home or property breakthrough – follow it!

A very big event is happening in deep space on September 9, when Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will move into Libra for the first time since September 2004 through October 2005. Jupiter will shine in your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement, and bring you your biggest career year in over a decade. VIPs will go out of their way to help you get ahead, and professional opportunities that you never imagined possible will be offered to you in the time Jupiter spends in Libra, September 9, 2016 to October 10, 2017. That’s a period of thirteen glorious months. You are the sign most favored for major career advancement for the coming year.

Capricorn is known to be the most ambitious sign of the zodiac, always interested in finding better methods to be a wise, trusted leader. Your management style is steady, sure, practical, and at times, cautious, but it is also insightful, flexible, and resourceful. When Jupiter is involved, profit will not be far behind, for Jupiter is known to be a planet of financial expansion and profit. The luckiest day of the year is lucky for just a day – in this case, two days – and the career experience that comes up for you may be extraordinary.

Only a few days later, we have a gorgeous new moon arriving on September 30 and that will appear in Libra, and will be one of the most beautiful new moons of all of 2016. Rather than only have a day or two, you will have ten days in which to start your efforts to increase your influence, power, and prestige in your area of expertise.

This new moon will arrive with Jupiter in close alignment, which is as rare as diamonds. If you want a new job, send out feelers to those who can help you. If you love your job and the company you work for now, have a meeting with your boss to find out what it will take to get to the next level – show initiative. Get your CV or resume ready, and if you are in the arts, spiff up your portfolio or reel. If you are self-employed, find ways to expand and grow profits. The coming thirteen months will be glorious and gratifying – get busy!

Finally you have something else on your side – the move of Mars to Capricorn fromSeptember 27 to November 8. You’ve not had Mars on your side in a very long time, and you will love being at the helm while all the other signs support you as they await their time with Mars in their sign. Having Mars in Capricorn will make you courageous, energetic, determined, and passionate to get your ideas approved. Most of them will get the green light because very simply, you won’t take no for an answer! Mars will make you sexy and attractive too – your confidence will be very magnetic – so even socially, you will have one very special month coming up!

Summary

This would be the perfect month to take an awe-inspiring, distant trip to a city or island resort that you have never visited before and that requires a passport to enter. You have the Sun, good fortune Jupiter, news and travel planet Mercury, and the new moon solar eclipse in compatible Virgo, September 1, that will coax you to quickly draw up plans.

If you have obligations at home, such as to care for small children, and you cannot take a journey, this powerful eclipse may instead send you back to college in pursuit of your advanced degree, or you may pass an exam to get your credentials in your specialty. If you work in broadcasting or publishing, you may get a new assignment that’ll require plenty of detail work and that will either require you do research abroad, or have your work translated into different languages. Something going on at home involving your living space, or a parent may require your attention at the same time, but you stay cool under last-minute events, and it appears you will handle things well.

The month’s second eclipse will be a full moon lunar eclipse, September 16. This full moon will be equally powerful and again send you packing, this time to a city closer to home. The emphasis on writing, speaking, editing, researching, acting, selling, translating, or writing code will again be emphasized as these areas were earlier this month. The house where this eclipse will fall rules communication, so you may be doing a lot of writing, public speaking, editing, or working within another area of the communication arts, including acting.

Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will move into Libra and light your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. You are an ambitious soul, so news that you are on the rise is always welcome, and you will see spectacular results to all your hard work with a promotion, new position, and/or publicity within the coming months. If self-employed, business will flow in at a brisk pace, and it is likely you will find a prestigious client.

The new moon September 30 will set all in motion, so news may arrive sooner than anything you expected. Get ready to see your name in lights on the big marquee. Watch for your luckiest two days of the year, September 25-26, when Jupiter will conjunct the Sun, a rare event – your career will glow and confetti will come down on you like a thick flurry of snow. A large amount of money should arrive too, in one large payment.

It seems likely that you will be asked to sign a contract at the eclipse September 16, and although you will be under pressure to sign quickly, don’t sign quite yet.
