March will be an important month, mainly because you will be able to seize back control of the direction your life takes in coming weeks. This noticeable shift of energy won’t take place until mid-March, but that’s fine because first you will have people to see, places to go, and projects to ship. You need to prepare for your next chapter, and the first two weeks of March will be exciting and highly productive.

The month starts off with a very friendly full moon on March 1 in Virgo 11 degrees. Virgo is a lovely earth sign that blends perfectly with your earthy Capricorn Sun. You may be coming back from a very distant trip at this time – possibly from a location that required your passport for entry. I am not sure if you traveled for business or pleasure, or a combination of the two, but no matter what, you seem very happy with results.

You may be thinking about an immigration matter, visa, passport, or green card. If so, things should work out nicely at the full moon and you’ll finish up talks or actions by March 4.

If you could not get away, you may be putting the final touches on a publishing, broadcasting, or Internet project, or participating in an important college or graduate school exam or interview, or hearing back about an application you sent in. If you have to defend your thesis on March 1 or 2, you are in luck – the professors will love your theories.

This full moon will receive stabilizing, comforting vibrations of Saturn, your ruling planet, so what you gain at this time is what you will keep for a very long time. This will not be fleeting, critical acclaim but contribute solidly to how you are viewed by people who matter in your industry. The deal you strike, the legal matters you settle, the ideas you set forth, and the work you do will add to who you are, and how people will estimate your potential.

If your birthday falls on January 2, plus or minus four days, you will enjoy this full moon the most. The same is true if you have Capricorn rising or the natal moon in Capricorn at 11 degrees, plus or minus five degrees. If you don’t have any of these placements, check to see if you have any natal planets in Capricorn, Virgo, or Taurus, Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio at 11 degrees plus or minus five degrees – the planet that fits that description will be very lit up and receive many benefits. Take notes on which planet that is and watch to see what happens.

The part of your chart that is about to light up like a beacon is the pinnacle point of your horoscope, the mid-heaven, which points to your contribution to your field and the leadership abilities that you display. This has to be a gratifying moment for you. When Venus receives Jupiter’s glowing rays in the first days of March, you are due to hear good news about your career.

No matter what events are taking place in your life as March opens, when it comes to professional matters, you will be moving to the head of the class. On March 1, a full moon in Virgo 11 degrees, to be strong and influential through March 4, will elevate your reputation and allow you to celebrate an important career victory. Venus’ interaction with Jupiter will also help you see your love life flourish in the first days of March. These aspects will take you through March 3-4, the first weekend of the month. It sounds like you will have a heavenly episode to look forward to doing. You may be invited to a lavish party or benefit party and enjoy the new people you meet. Among those you meet, one person may thrill you, and you may want to know that person better.  I am adding love and fun to your forecast in the first part of March because Venus rules your solar fifth house of true love, and as said, Venus and Jupiter will be collaborating beautifully in a magical trine (the best aspect you can hope to get). All conditions are right for weaving an evening of magnificent love.

On March 2, Venus’ brother, Mercury will receive the same harmonious golden beams from Jupiter. You will have a great time to travel (straight through the weekend of March 3-4), and for shopping and finding good bargains. If you need to sign a contract, do so on March 2. You will have chosen one of the finest parts of the month to do so. Again, those Capricorns born within five days of January 13 will benefit the most from Mercury’s contact with Jupiter.

While Mars tours Capricorn from March 17 to May 15, you will be able to go after all that you want with gusto.

The Sun and Neptune will be conjunct on Sunday, March 4, so if you are creative, this is the day to devote to your craft. You may turn out a work that can bring you quite a profit. I say that because the Sun rules your solar eighth house of commissions and bonuses, as well as other people’s money. Neptune’s presence also makes this a gorgeous weekend to see an art movie, hear a concert, see a ballet or a Broadway play, or visit a blockbuster museum exhibit. You might also treat yourself to a spa treatment instead. It’s due to be a lovely Sunday.

Two important days are coming up to circle on your calendar, both outstandingly positive. Let’s look at those in detail, March 11 and March 13.

On Sunday, March 11 and Monday, March 12, the Sun will be in ideal angle to Pluto, a big money planet. These days would be perfect for meeting with a powerful person who can get you the funding you may need to launch a new business idea. If you need a loan or an infusion of venture capital, or to make an application for a scholarship, or for another purpose, ask on one of these two days.

March 13 will bring a gorgeous aspect, the Sun trine Jupiter (most harmonious aspect possible), that will bring all kinds of good financial news, and possibly easy accord on a contract. If you sign a contract on this day, your business idea will likely excel and produce quite a bit of money. This is truly an ideal day to sign papers.

Communication, negotiation, short distance travel, research, working on new technology and telecommunications, and artistic expressions will come up as options to get involved in at the new moon, March 17 in Pisces 27 degrees. This is a gorgeous new moon, for it will receive direct support from good fortune Jupiter in a breathtaking, magical trine position. You may get an opportunity to write or speak, to publish a book or cover story, to work on an app or new software, or to start a blog or redesign a website. This new moon on March 17 is the time to launch an advertising or publicity campaign – start on March 17 or close to that date (AFTER the new moon arrives), such as on March 18 or 20.

This new moon will encourage you to travel. Choose a sumptuous, private location near a beautiful body of water, for this is a new moon in Pisces, and Neptune will be close, all encouraging you to be near the sea, a lake, brook, creek, or other body of water. With Jupiter prominent, you will want to enjoy luxury and pampering. The lovely part about the opportunity you get to drive out of town will be that you won’t have to go far to have fun. The third house will be so lit up for you, and that house rules short distance trips. You need not stay long, so maybe you can spend more on your accommodations and revel in the elegant surroundings.

If you need to travel to see a client, your best clients will be made by visiting a client face-to-face in a nearby city, such as the distance of London and Paris, Los Angeles and San Francisco, or New York and Philadelphia, Washington, or Chicago. You get the idea.

Finally, this new moon will generate news about your sister, brother, or cousin, for the third house rules your relationships with these individuals, too. Be sure to check in and find out what’s going on. It seems that the news will be upbeat and even joyous, and you’ll want to know the entire story.

If your birthday falls on January 17, plus or minus five days, you will find this new moon a big help with all you have do to – opportunity will be everywhere you look. The same is true if you have Capricorn rising, or the natal moon in Capricorn at 27 degrees, plus or minus five degrees. If you have a planet in Capricorn, Virgo, Taurus, Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio within five degrees of 27 degrees, you will find that planet has heaps of good news to bring to you. Make a note of that planet, and write own what happens on your calendar.

Mars will be in Sagittarius during the first half of the month, so during the first two weeks, it appears you will be working on projects in a strategic, behind-the-scenes mode. You seem to have to polish certain details, and the first two weeks of March will be the time to get those precisely right.

On March 17 (coincidentally the same day as the new moon), Mars will move to Capricorn, which happens every two years for an eight-week period. This is great news, for having Mars in your sign is always a big advantage. Mars will give you presence, energy, and drive, and people will listen to what you have to say, and be more inclined to approve your ideas.

While Mars tours Capricorn from March 17 to May 15, you will be able to go after all that you want with gusto. There will be a caveat, which I will explain in a moment – this has to do with an approaching Mercury retrograde phase – but that won’t obliterate the importance of having the planet of courage and drive, Mars, in your sign, putting you first, as the leader of the parade.

Mars in Capricorn will give you control over the direction your life and will ignite your passion and drive, and others will not fail to notice this very attractive quality in you. You will be able to attract support for ideas, even if in recent weeks it has not been that way. Mars is also known to help engender new love relationships too – energy attracts more good energy – so others will want to be near your warmth and light.

Mercury will be retrograde from March 22 to April 15 and will require that you be patient during this phase. Use this time to plot your course, but try not to get involved in any major initiations such as to take a new job, buy a house, or do anything that requires a binding promise. Mercury will retrograde in your home sector, in the area of your life that is most likely to bring delays, cross currents, and a few frustrations. By all means do not buy any new electronics or machines with moving parts during Mercury retrograde.

s no doubt that a professional matter will be reaching culmination, and you might receive an offer for a promotion or new job with another firm.

If this should happen, however, I am not sure if you will want to accept the offer. The problem is that your ruler, Saturn, will be orbiting shoulder to shoulder with Mars. Both tough-guy planets will send a harsh 90-degree glance to the full moon in Libra in your tenth house of career, and at the same time, send the same angry glance to the Sun in Aries in your house of home.

If the new job would require that you relocate, that stipulation might give you pause. You will want to integrate the feelings of family members, and any children you might have, and obligations (if any) that you may have to your parents who depend on you, too. A close friend seems to be sympathetic to your situation and may offer you advice and alternative ideas – this is indicated by the position of good fortune Jupiter, currently moving through your eleventh house of friendship. A professional group that you belong to may also be insightful to your situation, and might offer you contacts and information, too.

This full moon is in Libra, and Venus rules Libra. At month’s end, Venus is found conjunct Uranus on March 28 (close enough to the March 31 full moon). Uranus is the planet of unexpected developments. The proximity of Venus and Uranus is about to give this full moon a note of volatility that will make it impossible to know which way things will go. You may get some wonderful surprises with a home or family matter, or just the opposite, your children may not want to move and give you a hard time about taking a new job that requires a move.

This full moon is complicated, and Mercury retrograde is not helping matters. Not seeing your individual chart, I can’t say which way things will go. One thing is certain: if there is any sign that can sort out complexities in any sticky matter, it’s a cool headed Capricorn. This is the reason Capricorn is considered a sign that produces some of the world’s greatest leaders, especially those who work for behemoth multi-national companies.

Summary

The bright full moon of March 1, in fellow earth-sign Virgo, will be tailor made for you. This full moon will put bounce in your step and have you grinning. Your ninth house of long-distance travel will sparkle, so you may be returning from an exciting trip to a foreign country or concluding talks with executives abroad about an upcoming international endeavor. You may settle an immigration matter or a dream involving your pursuit for higher education. Publishing and broadcasting ventures will now enter a final stage. If you do manage to travel this month – and there will be opportunities near March 1 and also after the new moon, March 17 in Pisces – choose an especially pretty setting near water.
