This is will be a happy month, where you can make important financial decisions and then clear the way for more enjoyable activities after you are done with your financial restructuring. Travel seems to top your list of desires. May will be far more productive than March or April – in many ways those were the two hardest months of the year (especially April). Venus is your ruling planet and was retrograde from March 5 to April 15, and that impeded your progress too, as Libra is ruled by Libra. Having a weak Venus led to delays, reversals, kinks, and problems that kept popping up.

When Venus is in retrograde, she withholds her strongest powers – powers you take for granted because they flow to you so regularly. Since early March you likely found progress to be slow or nonexistent in various areas of your life. Venus will need time this month to ramp up to former strength, just like people you know do when they first wake up after a long sleep. Venus will need a little coffee and time to check her email to see what the universe wants her to do first. Venus will be back to her strong and perky self by May 18, but you won’t have to wait that long to take action. By the full moon, Venus will be working quite well. No doubt about it, you will like May so much more than April.

You were also handicapped by a difficult Mercury in retrograde, from April 9, but here is more good news: Mercury will turn direct on May 3 as the month opens. Always give a planet a few days to stabilize its orbit when changing retrograde to direct. Mercury has brought up errors that had to be addressed. Mistakes had to be corrected, clients kept changing their minds about the direction of a project, technology acted weird, and it was a bad time to sign contracts. Now, Mercury goes direct on May 3, but will get stronger each day as it gets to May 20. Again, you won’t have to wait until May 20 for Mercury to reach full power if you don’t want to do so. I promise, May is a better month! In fact, the hardest days of 2017 were to be March and April as a rule.

This month will put a strong emphasis on managing finances. The new moon in Taurus 5 degrees of late last month, April 26, appeared in Taurus in your eighth house of other people’s money. The new moon may have bought up negations or a need to petition a bank or venture capitalist to raise funds to make a large purchase of real estate or to get the money you need to start or keep a business growing. The new moon was generally congenial except for the fact that Venus, your ruler, was having a dispute with Saturn. Saturn is the ruler of your real estate sector and forced you to be realistic about a certain matter that came up. Venus rules your desires and also rules the area of the chart ruling your eighth house, covering other people’s money. As you begin May, you may still be ironing out a wrinkle that came up at the end of April.

The money matter on your mind will come to completion within four days of the May 10 full moon in Scorpio, 20 degrees, in your other financial sector. If you are working on a redesign of that space, your timing is excellent. If you have to fix any cracks in your foundation, go do it now. If you live in an apartment and want to put up a wall or take one down, hire the architect now.

When it comes to property, you are under golden vibrations of another sort that I should mention. Saturn, ruling your home, property, and real estate, will be in ideal angle to Uranus, planet of sudden breakthroughs, in your house of partners. The partner you may be thinking about in regard to this matter might be business or romantic in nature. (For most Libras, the romantic partner is their marriage partner.) You will receive good fortune through your partner now, and you can build security and long-term financial growth with the actions you take in 2017. Saturn and Uranus will be in perfect mathematical sync on May 18 and later on November 11, but these two planets move so very slowly that they will be within tight, significant orb all year. When they finally spin their separate ways, they won’t be back to create an aspect of similar fashion until 2047. You truly are under very fortunate days for property matters or from luck received from parents.

Travel is also almost guaranteed this month and will provide a good counterpoint to the many negotiations and discussions you will be having about money. Mars is in Gemini, a place Mars has been since April 21 and will remain in place until June 4, brightening your house of adventuresome travel. Gemini is an air sign that blends beautifully with your air-sign Libra. Mars is the high-energy planet that will flood your ninth house of long-distance travel, foreign people, and places with sparkling light. You might be traveling to a country that requires a passport to enter or you may be on the phone or email a great deal with people based in other lands. If you work in the international department of your company, this month will be very busy and productive.
